MEET DR WILSON
Howard K. Wilson D.C.
A native of Minnesota, Dr. Wilson attended North Dakota State University where he received his B.S. in 1982, and Louisiana State University where he received his M.S. in 1985. A magna cum laude graduate of top-ranked Palmer College of Chiropractic (D.C., 1989), he served as chapter president of the scholastic honors society, and received clinical research honors. Dr. Wilson was also chosen by the faculty to receive the Clinical Excellence Award.
In 1992, Dr. Wilson established a practice in Roanoke, Virginia, with his primary goal to provide quality care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries. Postgraduate studies have reflected this in obtaining master’s certification for diagnosing and treating motor vehicle trauma. Additional studies have focused on rehabilitative therapies, injury prevention and ergonomics, and he is an active instructor for the American Red Cross “Protect Your Back” program.
Dr. Wilson is active in the community and has served in the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce with their Leadership Roanoke Valley program. He also served several years on the board for Prevent Child Abuse Roanoke Valley, Boy Scouts of America, and was recently honored as Scoutmaster of the Year.
In his spare time Dr. Wilson enjoys hiking and woodworking, especially building and playing acoustic guitars.
